As the economy is developing alternatives to everyone’s diet; vegetarians, vegans, low-fat, low-carb, DASH and many more. The amount of people who intake dairy products’; especially milk, have decreased tremendously. Lactose intolerance, dairy allergy, a preference or a voluntary decision, we have created substitutions. Lactose-free, almond milk, avocado butter, coconut oil, and the list goes on to impact on people’s diets over the past two decades.
Creating this recipe with healthy alternatives has a reviving outcome completing your cravings in the long run. Strawberry and raspberry frozen yogurt popsicles; did I get your attention? Great here we go.
TIPS:
· Plain Greek yogurt consists of a low percentage of lactase sugar, this is amazing for the lactose-intolerant community who love dairy too much.
· A dash of the milk will help mix your ingredients together in the blender.
· You can also add a dash of water as well, but I prefer milk to keep that smooth and creamy texture.
· Sweetness is everyone’s preference!
Ingredients:
2 cups raspberry
2 cups strawberries
½ cup of Greek yogurt (lactose-free)
4 tbsp. sugar
¼ cup honey
dash of milk (any preference you want)
Instructions:
1. Clean your strawberries and raspberry.
2. Add all your ingredients to the blender.
3. Blend everything together until you have a smooth texture.
4. Once completed, add ¾ of the mix to popsicle molds.
5. Add the sticks to the molds and put them in the freezer for 4 hours-overnight.
6. Let the popsicle molds sit in warm water for 5 mins to ensure a smooth removal.
7. Enjoy!
